If so, then it looks like a ‘bug’ now exists in the Amazon integration into Sonos. Posts on this thread seem to suggest this freedom exists on the Amazon app but not through Sonos. Clearly, they ought to be free to do what they want with what they own, but it seems to have got caught up in the Amazon change.
